Customer Spotlight: ALADDIN Presented By St. Joseph School District and Webster Learning Center
Recently, Mr. Darren Verbick, St. Joseph School District’s Elementary Fine Arts Coordinator, along with many young people and several dedicated adults, put on a magnificent production of Disney’s ALADDIN, KIDS. St. Joseph’s cast ranged in age from 5 to 9. The show came together in just 16.5 days and was a major success. The talented performers, excellent hand-made costumes, and wonderful TheatreWorld ‘Signature Series’ Agrabah Palace Exterior Backdrop wowed audiences.
Several months ago, Mr. Verbick selected TheatreWorld’s Agrabah Palace Exterior, based on a sketch we highlighted on our Blog. TheatreWorld’s ‘Signature Series’ Agrabah Palace Backdrop is very Disney inspired, yet quite unique. The main palace has 17 gold domed towers and a magnificent staircase leading to the city. It is stunningly beautiful. Mr. Verbick wrote to our customer service teams to say the backdrop was “fantastic” and “made the show!”
Furthermore, Darren was kind enough to share pictures for TheatreWorld and its customers to enjoy.
What’s Next for St. Joseph School District?
Additionally, as part of that exchange, he mentioned that he would be doing the popular SEUSSICAL: THE MUSICAL next summer. He viewed our blog and website. After seeing our new Signature Series Whoville and Truffala Tree Forest backdrops, Darren said, “There’s a 99% chance we will rent one of TheatreWorld’s Seuss backdrops next year!”
As a side note: if anyone needs costumes for Aladdin (for young actors), we will be happy to make introductions to Darren and his team.
