Fall 2012 Backdrop Update: THE TALK, New Americana Drops, Summer Camp Prep and More!

The fall season has been a fast-paced and exciting time for TheatreWorld Backdrops and our customers!

First, we added lots of new backdrops to our inventory. Also, numerous new Signature Series designs have been set in motion. These drops are scheduled to start releasing soon. Additionally, TheatreWorld made its national syndicated television debut. Finally, many of our customers have enjoyed very successful productions. We we were thrilled to be a small part of your shows!

TheatreWorld Backdrops would like to thank all the directors, event planners, and dance companies who have selected our scenic backdrops to support their fall presentations. Many of our new Signature Series backdrops are rapidly becoming our most requested rental units.

CBS’ “THE TALK” SELECTS THEATREWORLD’S WONDERLAND GATE BACKDROP.

Recently, CBS selected our Signature Series Wonderland Gate to support the Halloween episode of “The Talk”. This was truly a great honor for us! The pictures below were provided by CBS studios for us to enjoy.

CBS Studio City, CA selected TheatreWorld Backdrops’ Wonderland Gate backdrop as the centerpiece image for the Halloween episode of “The Talk,” starring Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood.

AMERICANA-THEMED BACKDROPS NOW IN PRODUCTION.

On November 16th, TheatreWorld begins its winter development program. We’re releasing 30+ new designs – most of which highlight Americana at its best. These new, high impact Signature Series designs will span many of today’s most popular shows and themes. Shows include ANNIE GET YOUR GUN (4), HAIRSPRAY (3), GREASE (3), FOOTLOOSE (3), WEST SIDE STORY (3) and more! Other dynamic new designs will feature BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (4), LEGALLY BLONDE (3) and THE WIZARD OF OZ (2).

TheatreWorld’s first installment in its new Americana Series will debut throughout Florida in January with Stages Productions‘ touring production of LET FREEDOM SING. This multimedia, concert-style show is geared towards younger audiences and their families. We recommend everyone in the geographical areas of performances attend. TheatreWorld continues to build Broadway-quality backdrops at an accelerated pace. In addition to the new designs highlighted above, we are increasing our rental inventories. This allows us to service additional customer requests every month. Please select and order backdrops early for your winter and spring events.

We know many of you support or manage summer theatre camps. TheatreWorld Backdrops would welcome the opportunity to review your scheduled shows and dates with you. We are beginning to develop accelerated plans and special packages to support Summer Camps. Our goal is to help you to bring TheatreWorld’s next generation backdrops to your students, campers, and audiences. We strive to actively support and promote individuals strengthening American youth’s commitment to the arts. We welcome your input and look forward to supporting you. CUSTOMER QUESTION: WHAT IS OUR FAVORITE BACKDROPS TO CREATE?

Finally, many of you have asked us which backdrops are the most fun to produce or give us the most pleasure. That’s a very difficult question, as each backdrop receives so much care. Producing our PHANTOM OF THE OPERA series was a blast and its general acceptance has been very gratifying. Recently, the two most fun backdrop new designs to develop and produce are our Whoville Christmas and the Olde World Toy Shoppe. (Featured below.) Our team seems to kick their efforts up a notch when creating backdrops intended for younger audiences.

There are lots of very exciting new developments on the immediate horizon for TheatreWorld Backdrops as well.
