TheatreWorld Backdrops November Highlights: Part 2
Disney’s ALADDIN (available through Music Theatre International) remains very popular with audiences of all ages. TheatreWorld is pleased to be supporting producers across the country at a record pace. Directors, dance ensembles, and event planners are selecting TheatreWorld’s ALADDIN Signature Series backdrops to enrich their presentations.
Customer comments from fall presentations have all been humbling and very positive. Customers have used words like “amazing”, “out of control”, “beautiful”. Probably the one we liked best has been “impeccable”, especially when combined with will “we only rent from TheatreWorld in the future!”

Production Photos from ALADDIN at South Garland High School
South Garland High School Theatre Arts Department (9th & 12th grade students) presented ALADDIN using two of TheatreWorld’s Signature Series from our ALADDIN collection, the Agrabah Palace Exterior and Sultan’s Palace Interior. Next, the SGHS team is moving on to statewide competitions. Congratulations to the cast, crew, and production team! Visit the SGHS site for more information their wonderful performance!
On a related note, the only occasional negative feedback we receive is that drops can appear wrinkled when they are taken out of the box. The lion’s share of TheatreWorld’s rental inventory is on the newer side. Backdrops quickly soften and wrinkle less as time goes on. Climate changes additionally impact fabric hand-painted backdrops as we ship them across the country. If your drop wrinkles, please hang it with weight in the pole-pocket for a day or so. Most of the wrinkles will naturally fall out. Also, you may feel free to lightly steam the backdrop, from the REAR, using a standard garment steamer with a plastic or brush head. Just 20 minutes of time will remove any visible wrinkles in the fabric.
