Brookville High School: Jubilant Young Actors, The Wizard of Oz and Better Backdrops
It’s always a pleasure when our clients share their experiences from their productions with us. We are proud to have recently been a small part of Brookville High School’s rendition of THE WIZARD OF OZ. They featured pieces from our WIZARD OF OZ backdrop collection in their production. They were kind enough to share some photos of our backdrops in action. (Black and White Prairie Farm, Munchkinland, Haunted Forest and Emerald City Great Hall.)
Backdrops and Production Photos
The photos that they provided show how school level theatre events can be elevated with a great cast and crew, top-notch scenery, skilled audio and lighting, and outstanding costumes. (The entire cast looks great!) It’s clear that these young actors enjoyed themselves. Even seasoned members of the theatre community can appreciate the genuine emotion that these young actors brought to the stage.
Home in Kansas
Brookville High chose the Black and White Prairie Farm to start off their show. (We also offer this backdrop in full color.) This photo shows Dorothy, still in Kansas, skipping along stage.
Munchkinland
Next, our Munchkinland backdrop helped set the scene for the magical Land of Oz. Their excited young actors, great costumes, and this perfect backdrop helped them bring their audience on a mythical journey. Below, see Dorothy meeting the Good Witch. Next to that, see the Bad Witch makes her entrance!
Haunted Forest
Afterwards, Dorothy becomes acquainted with her allies: the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion. The team at Brookville High chose our Haunted Forest backdrop to help portray the heroes’ daunting journey across the Land of Oz. We truly admire the effort and professionalism that Brookville High put into this production. The entire cast prepared well and showed great stage presence. Other members of the cast portrayed Winged Monkeys and the Munchkins who Dorothy and her allies meet on their quest to the Emerald City.
Emerald City
Brookville’s creative team chose one of our most popular Wizard of Oz backdrops to support this iconic setting. Here you see Dorothy and her team as they meet the Wizard and the other inhabitants of Oz positioned in front of our Emerald City Great Hall backdrop.
We would like to thank Brookville High School’s Theatre Department for sharing some of the great memories they made with our backdrops. Our Customer Service team thoroughly enjoyed working with them, and is pleased with how great everything obviously turned out.
