PETER PAN Backdrop Suite Now Releasing!
Over the past couple of months, we have updated you on our new scenery selections for PETER PAN productions. We are pleased to announce that our Artistic Team has finalized four brand new backdrops for this timeless show. We took the needs of directors (at both the full scale and junior levels) into account when we devised our most recent PETER PAN backdrops. For your approval we have:
The Darling Nursery
We designed this backdrop to support the opening and closing scenes of the production. It gives you the perfect setting for Peter and Tinkerbell to sneak into as they search for Peter’s shadow and a place to deliver the heroes at the end of the production. Designed to be a standalone piece of scenery, The Darling Nursery will pair perfectly with beds or similar set pieces to stage the opening scene of the musical.
London Flyover
Once Wendy informs Peter that she never wants to grow up, Peter and Tink take the siblings on their first flight. This classic scene takes the cast on an aerial tour of London. Our London Flyover backdrop allows you to turn any stage or venue into a bird’s eye view of one of the world’s most famous cityscapes. Our Artists incorporated notable landmarks like the Thames River, the London Bridges, The London Tower and even Big Ben! While we designed this drop for PETER PAN, it also makes a great addition to MARY POPPINS. (Or any event that calls for a UK feel.)
Neverland
The centerpiece of our PETER PAN package is our Neverland backdrop. We developed this in conjunction with Emmy winning set designers from CBS’ ‘The Talk’. Our vision of Neverland provides an upbeat and vividly colored landscape. It features the Jolly Roger anchored in the middle of Mermaid Lagoon, with a tropical island outfitted with waterfalls in the background. By design, this drop plays heavily on fairy tale themes so that your audience has no doubt that they have been taken to Neverland.
Pirate Ship Deck
Several times during the production your cast will find themselves on Captain Hook’s ship; The Jolly Roger. Our Pirate Ship Deck backdrop was designed to support all of these scenes, from the rendition of ‘Yo Ho A Pirate’s Life For Me’, all the way up to Peter and Hook’s storied face-off. This drop provides all of the background scenery that you will need. Therefore, you can pull off all the scenes aboard the Jolly Roger with minimal set pieces.
We love that our new offerings have already played small roles in multiple PETER PAN oriented productions and events. Our Artistic Team put loads of time and effort into designing and producing these new imagery options. Each backdrop is available in 40’ by 18’ and 25’ by 15’, accommodating stages and settings of all sizes. We look forward to receiving your feedback, and assisting you with your upcoming productions.
