Fall and Winter have been our largest shipping months ever, thanks to our clients and their confidence in our services, top quality, and hand-painted backdrops!

We are also adding about 25 new backdrops to our rental inventories each month. Even with our expansion, we strongly recommend all clients order their backdrop packages as early as possible to ensure their first selections.

New Team Members and Expanded Inventory

To ensure that TheatreWorld Backdrops continues to provide the best customer services and highest-quality backdrops available anywhere, we have recently added a few new team members and enhanced some responsibilities. Tammy has accepted a full-time position with TheatreWorld after working with us for 18 months or so as a consultant. Herson has accepted the assignment as Logistics Team Leader, and Gloria has joined us in an administrative and customer services capacity.

Furthermore, Tammy and our creative teams are currently working on circa 45 brand new backdrop designs that will be releasing soon and continue through the summer months. We have also expanded our backdrop touch-up and repair teams to keep TheatreWorld Backdrops’ rental inventory in the best possible condition in the industry.

During the summer months, approximately 100 of our backdrops will be going through a detailed evaluation and many will be reclassified to a Level 4. These will then be offered with a discounted pricing structure. Hopefully, this will make TheatreWorld designs available to those with very tight budgets. We have made arrangements with the Center for the Arts at River Ridge in New Port Richie, FL to use the facility to take current condition photos of the backdrops that will be reclassified. Our world class, hand-painted backdrops will also support several of the Center for the Arts’ upcoming productions. It was a pleasure meeting with Rick and his team who manage the Center. They are very knowledgeable and cooperative! We recommend the Center for the Arts to anyone looking for a high quality, large capacity performance facility with all the amenities.

Thank you to everyone who has rented backdrops from our new Whimsical Series. They are rapidly becoming some of our most requested designs! Keep an eye out for other new series, such as our new Ancient Series.

New Wishlist Feature

We have received many compliments on our Wish List function. Our Wish List makes it fast and easy to order your backdrop packages and receive your rental package. Please remember, package discounts begin with as few as two backdrops and reach 20% very quickly. If you are more comfortable talking to our support teams, please call at any time. On the Road

The TheatreWorld Backdrops team is looking forward to visiting Salt Lake mid-March to attend the USITT conference. Michele and Tammy hope to see many of you there. Please stop by our booth and say hello! We will be participating in the Backdrops Showcase again this year. Additionally, we will be debuting our new Signature Series design, the “Princess Castle”. The Princess Castle will be available for our clients to rent for their spring shows in 2 sizes. We designed “Princess Castle” to support stage shows, dance recitals, and event productions that require a dramatic and beautiful fantasy and fairytale castle. After the show beings, you will be able to see the image on the TheatreWorld website.
