Given the emphasis on storytelling in Man of La Mancha, most productions utilize a single set in the form of the prison where Cervantes awaits trial and add set pieces to create other locations as the story unfolds. DARK CAVERN DUNGEON is deep, dark underground fortress, complete with wrought iron gates and torches. For a similar look, but down a long, steep staircase instead, consider PHANTOM'S GROTTO. Or, for a different look with a similar underground feel, use DRAGON'S LAIR GRAYSTONE. FIELD STONE WALL, with its large, irregular stones, is the most neutral option and will transform from location to location easily. For a set design that's not located quite so far underground, use vibrant FIRE SKY behind your set pieces.
